Kurashiki, literally translated as “town of storehouses” is a city close to the capital city in Okayama prefecture.
The canal area in this city was used to distribute rice and has preserved its history from the Edo period (1603-1867).
A lot of former storehouses have been reformed and are used as museums, cafes and boutiques.
It is recommended visiting the Ohara Museum as it is known for exhibiting an excessive amount of artworks created by famous western artists including Chagall, El Greco, Klee, Miro, and more!
