FOOD GUIDE: Donburi (丼)

INTRODUCTION

Donburi (丼) is the Japanese most common and known, rice bowl dish. Rice is served with fish, meat, vegetables or literally anything the diner prefers. Basically the large bowl in which the rice is served is call Donburi. They are often called sweetened or savory stew on rice.

This bowl of rice is served with different variety of sauces as per the season, region or the taste diner wants. The most famous sauce consist of Dashi flavor with a tint of soya sauce and mirin.
Donburi can be made with any ingredient even leftovers.

Donburi is the most famous of Japan. This dish is part of every house in Japan and foodies all around the world, should have it with different variety of sauces and meats.
